Standard AeroPress brewing allows early gravity drip-through during the bloom phase. By turning the chamber upside down—the Inverted Method—we convert the AeroPress into a total-immersion brewer capable of full particle contact for any duration required.

Inverted AeroPress Setup on Kitchen Counter

Step-by-Step Execution Protocol

1

Chamber & Plunger Assembly

Insert the rubber plunger 1 cm into the top of the AeroPress chamber and stand it upside down on a flat, non-slip surface.

2

Dosing & Thermal Rinse

Add 17g of medium-fine ground coffee into the chamber. Rinse a paper filter inside the plastic cap with 90°C hot water to eliminate paper residue taste.

3

Water Pour & Agitation

Pour 220g of 92°C water directly onto the grounds within 15 seconds. Stir vigorously 5 times using the paddle to break up dry clumps.

4

Immersion & Flip Mechanics

Screw the filter cap tightly onto the chamber at 1:45 total time. Carefully flip the assembly onto your mug and plunge smooth and steady for 30 seconds.
